Improved
Improved Zapier App Login Process
We pushed a small but important update to our Zapier app that will enhance your login experience and provide better security for your projects. We've listened to your feedback, and we're moving to a new API key authentication method.
With this update, we've replaced the traditional username/password login process with a more secure and streamlined API key. You can now find your Zapier API key in your account settings or directly in the Zapier integration card in the Project Settings. This new authentication method ensures that your integration is bound to your user account, just like before.
One of the great benefits of this new approach is that if you ever lose access to a project, the integration will automatically stop working. This ensures that only authorized individuals can access and manage your integrations, giving you peace of mind and better control over your projects. For this reason, we suggest the Project owner (rather than a team member) is responsible for setting up the integration through their account.
Existing users who are already using the previous version of the Zapier app with the username/password authentication method don't need to migrate. This update only affects new users who will now be presented with the API key authentication when setting up the integration.
